COVID-19 MALAYSIA Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia

28 Disember 2020 - In preparation for mandatory screening for COVID-19 among registered foreign workers that would be carried out by the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), JKN Pulau Pinang with the joint effort of the Penang State Government, NGOs, other government agencies and industries has set up another PKRC at Kompleks Sukan Balik Pulau in the Southwest district of Penang.
PKRC KSBP is currently the largest PKRC in Penang with capacity up to 432 beds. It will be used to manage Low Risk COVID-19 patients.
The facility is fully operational since 22nd December 2020. Patients in PKRC KSBP are manage round the clock by Assistant Medical Officers and Medical Officers. They will also be reviewed by an Internal Medicine Physician in consultation with Infectious Disease Consultants. Patients requiring step up care will be transferred to Hospital Pulau Pinang.
KKM would like to express appreciation to the Penang State Government, NGOs, PDRM, RELA and private conpanies involved for their relentless support in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Special thanks to One Hope Charity & Welfare for providing all beds needed with mattresses, pillows, disposable bed sheets and pillowcases as well as loaning 5 units of water dispensers to PKRC KSBP.
